PRAYER

Ephesians 6:17-18 says "And take the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit"
Prayer is the communication with God, without prayer we are unable to have two way communication with God. Therefore effective prayer requires both speaking and listening.
IMPORTANT OF PRAYER (TO A RIGHTEOUS MAN) Prayer is an important part of only the "ARMOR" of God, also the most effective and offensive weapon at our disposal as Christians. The greatest weapon of our spiritual warfare. Prayer is one of the most powerful spiritual forces that the devil and his kingdom can never withstand. Whenever a person or a group of Christians pray, it causes confusion in the evil kingdoms. They find it difficult if not impossible depending on the amount of intensity of prayer to carry out their wicked assignments.
When we pray we are able to tap into the resources of the infinite power of God. Prayer is the greatest weapon which we possess, this implies as faithful Christians we don't have to joke with our prayers. Prayer is defensive with the word of God. But when we consider our own prayer lines as a Christians, we often feel inadequate.we know we should pray more and more, but we find prayer boring, due to that we do not see the value and relevance of praying. Let's face it. Prayer is hard work and it is very difficult. In account of that Mighty power of prayer against the dark kingdom, Satan fight us every step of the way. 1Thessalonians 5:16-18 says "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing .For everything give thanks: For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you". "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness of the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand..." Ephesians 6:10-13 .
Brethren we had great powers in our possession. Let's make good use of this power ..... and our life will never be the same I pray that we will be the doer of the word, and not just reader's. Stay bless for taking your time reading this......
. PROBLEMS WITH PRAYER > Priority: As Christians we have to set time to pray, but we do not assign adequate time for it. how we order and live our life reveals our priority. If we do not spend much time in prayers, it is obvious to God and to us. If we are honest.
We give priority to the other things in our life and only dedicate little time for prayers like spending two minutes praying while we can dedicate hours watching television, making phone calls, reading the newspaper, and the list goes on.
The holy spirit is searching for men and woman who will make prayer their priority. It is only through the power of prevailing prayer that we are able to effect change in this world. God knows it, the devil knows it as well so he war against the life of Christians . We are encouraged to pray at all times and to make it our priority.
> Knowing how to pray: There are many books about prayers, but most of the book deals with general prayers. Does the bible teach us anything specifically about praying? Can we study every prayer in the bible and discover that there are different types of prayers mentioned? If we know how to study each one effectively it will help in our spiritual maturity.
We have to trust God, have faith in Him. Most Christians do not receive from God because they don't have faith in Him. God want to help us but He can not because we lack faith and without faith it is impossible for God to help us. Hebrew 6:13-15,10:35-36
Patience is very important if we are to receive from God, We are sometimes in a hurry to receive our answers even when God wants us to wait a while. We must possess patience if we are to receive answers to our prayers. We can learn this from a great man of God in the bible Daniel who prayed three time a day. Daniel 10:11-13
May God give us understanding in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
