WHEN GOD SEEMS TO BE SILENT

Most times, you may not get the exact thing you asked for.

Sometimes, you may be denied of what you longed for.

Other times, what you cherish most might be taken away from you but,

All the time God keeps whispering to your lonely heart “My child trust me because I know what is best for you, am working things out for your good just to bring you to a successful end” (Jeremiah 29:11).

God cares about you, He loves you a lot. You may ask;

“If He cares, why should He allow me to go through all this hardship?” “Why should He watch me suffer the way am doing now?” “Why has He kept silent all this times?”

Don’t forget that Jesus Christ is the beloved son of God which He (God) confirmed in Matthew 3: 17 “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” yet He gave him out , Jesus also suffered that we might have hope; the blessed hope, God allowed His only begotten son to suffer for our sake. At a point

He (Jesus) felt rejected and forsaken (Matthew 27:45-46) yet God was watching but kept quiet.

He saw the great suffering that lies ahead of Him and prayed with a heavy heart “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:29.

Do you think God didn’t feel the pain his son was feeling? Do you think He enjoys seeing His son suffer? Do you think it was easy for him to release His beloved son to be tortured?

The answer is NO

(I can just imagine God saying “My son I am with you but you have to go through this so that the world might be saved, do this for Oluchi, I don’t want her to perish, there are precious souls that depend on this sacrifice so you have to go through this to save mankind”) God doesn’t want us to perish so He redeemed us with the precious blood of His son Jesus Christ.

The fact that you are going through difficult moment doesn’t mean that God has forsaken you neither has he forgotten you. There is a PURPOSE to which everything happens, every level has its own prize, until you pay the prize you can’t be promoted.

Jesus Christ was rewarded after He paid our debt on the cross, (Philippians 2:6-10) bible recorded that “God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow” (Verse 9 and 10).

Often we pray to God to take us to the next level, we pray for God to bless and prosper us, we pray for breakthroughs but we don’t consider the prize to pay, can a student be promoted simply because he or she keeps begging the teacher?, Never, the promotion will only come when the student has successfully passed the promotional exams.

Likewise, we cannot move to the next level without paying the prize for it. The more your challenges; the higher your promotion.

The bible tells us that the Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part (Job 42:12)

Job trusted God and rejected the council of his friends and beloved wife; he waited patiently until God broke the silent.

Does it seem as if God is silent? He is not, He is preparing you for greater works. Keep on trusting Him, never give up and have faith in Him because He will surely visit you. God bless you.
